Exquisite corpse (also known as "exquisite cadaver" or "rotating corpse") is a method by which a collection of words or images is collectively assembled, the result being known as the exquisite corpse or cadavre exquis in French. Each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence, either by following a rule (e.g. "The adjective noun adverb verb the adjective noun") or by being allowed to see the end of what the previous person contributed.

Exquisite Corpse. What a game.

I'm not sure why I started another blog. I'm not sure why I made it black and purple with a blurry picture of some sad, anime boys as a header. I do know why I called it Cadavre Exquis. Not just because it is my favorite book of this point in my life, and I intend to have it tattooed on my body, but also because I love the game. The rules are at the top of this blog. It's basically Telephone but in a story form.
The best thing about it, is that you can play it with more than words. You can play it with art, or word of mouth. I feel like it's a good way to describe life. You write so many words, draw so many lines, shape so many pieces, and then another person comes and starts another line in your story, another piece to what you've begun. Every so often you take over narration again. The story is in your hands, then you hand to someone else. To put their pen to your paper and write bits of your story.
So this little bit will be my Exquisite Corpse.
My pieces to my story. Maybe I'll get others to put theirs here too.

i saw that you joined my blog so i checked this out. i feel like you must have found us through a link that was going around this weekend regarding the bunny screen saver. it's interesting if that's how you happened along, because this ongoing story line you're describing is exactly what i do when i watch the screen saver and didn't really know if i should try to describe it. i thought it was too strange to try to put into words.

over the years as i've always watched these images (20,000 or so) come up on my computer i try to guess which bunny will be next. given the rotation and what is happening in the photograph i watch them scroll as by i make up the accompanying narrative. the photos are set to random so the story is always different.

anyway as i read your post about what you're doing with this new blog i think it's really cool and will continue to check back! good luck and thanks for being obsessed with bunnies. as for your death obsession, well hmmm... it's better than being afraid of it right? just remember you must stay alive to take good care of your bunny so don't get too obsessed with it!
